What to look for in an equestrian estate
With a horse property, floor area is only part of the story. We look with you at the number of boxes and the layout of the stable block, the size and surface of the indoor or outdoor arena, the paddocks and the acreage of grazing with its fencing and water supply. We also check zoning (residential or agricultural, hobby or commercial keeping of animals), manure storage and environmental notification, and access: can you turn and load a trailer or lorry without blocking the road? Water, power in the stables, fire safety and the condition of the roof structure belong to the homework before you bid.
